Pretty sure that's a negatory Ghost Rider.

Re: Spider-Man 2

For the record, in my opinion, Brian was expressing his opinion in a very reasonable way. It was Michael who, altho he said he liked the movie, was nitpicking it to death like a New Jersey housewife.

Warning: I'm probably rewriting this post as you read it.

This should be a T-shirt and everyone should own it.

It was regular theatrical SM2.

Dude, I may have been nitpicking, but Brian not only agreed with my nitpicks but then went on to argue how every one of them was in itself the fundamental failing of the movie.

At least that's how I remember it. I was also sitting on a golden throne eating ice cream that makes me thinner.

Re: Spider-Man 2

Now, if you guys had quaffed just ten more seconds of Haterade, you would have made this episode length 2:22:22. Which would have meant sooo much more to pointlessly paranoid Peter Parker pattern spotters everywhere. Or so the voices tell me.

Re: Spider-Man 2

I'm infuriated. Not only do I love this movie(or so I think), but I'd love to hear what's in store for it. Now, I'm infuriated since it hasn't shown up in iTunes yet.

Re: Spider-Man 2

i liked this flick when it came out.  And i liked the first one when it came out.  But that was before I started putting movies together myself.  And before I knew what story structure really is.  Now I watch them and wonder what was I thinking?

Now the third one... I hated that one from the start.

Thanks Teague. Downloading now smile

Re: Spider-Man 2

I was always infuriated with ANY of the spiderman movies. The tone was wrong, Tobey was doublepluswrong, some of the f/x were cool FOR THEIR TIME but man, such wastage of opportunitocity! ARGH!

Three is by far the worst, though. Of the three, I say two is "least bad" coz at least Molina saves his bit. It's just he was given such a crummy and illogical bit to save, but save it, he does.

Re: Spider-Man 2

This was like the 'talking over Teague drinking game'. smile You look at what Alvin Sargent wrote and you think 'why did people hire him' but he did the screenplay for Paper Moon, which if you haven't seen you really should, and won an oscar for Ordinary People, so that keeps your career going during the dry spells i guess.

Doc Ock's flabby shirtless trenchcoat was the dumbest supervillain look of all time. In the old animated Spider-Man, he'd sometimes fight crime at the north pole, i have no idea what he was swinging from.

What in the hell was all that hate for Kirstin Dunst! She's hot, has a great rack...

Re: Spider-Man 2

The first two Spiderman films were a case where I thought they were fine when I first watched them, but upon a second viewing I found I really couldn't care less and turned it off smile I had no interest in the second film but my sister dragged me to an Imax showing (she now claims to hate all the Spiderman films, but that may be because her ex was a fan), and I avoided the third. Then again I also avoided Batman Begins... I think I just mostly prefer my superhero stuff animated (I don't read Marvel or DC comics much either)

I agree with the rack part but face-wise, I don't think she's all that attractive.

Re: Spider-Man 2

Well... she needs to get fixed up before she can fool the the camera into a flattering picture. Ok ok, i'll drop the 'hot' part. 2 out of 3's good enough for me.

big_smile fair enough.

If you think she's hot, you think she's hot. Each to his own, man. smile

Hey, remember when we used to debate things like whether video games qualified as art?

Jokes are fun.

What I don't get is the teeth thing; it's her often vacant, half alseep eyes that bug me.  I believe it was Anthony who mentioned Crazy / Beautiful, which I rather enjoyed (granted I haven't seen it recently), and another example of my theory that Kirstin has has either never heard of, or simply refuses to wear a bra (on or off screen apparently).  Not complaining mind you, just observing.

Re: Spider-Man 2

i really disagree with alot of the complaints other than the dialog being kind of clunky. The spiderman movies are very clearly fairy tale style movies in the same vein of the  princess bride. I watch iron man in the same context and iron man doesnt have the same writing problems becasue very little happens. It is very very simple story.

The idea that every comic movie should be like batman really bothers me. Spiderman is probably not going to fit well into that context. We will see.

Hell, I could argue Batman shouldn't be like any of the live action Batman movies smile
