Great post avatar, thanks for that.

If we can put it off until March I would be happy to get back on the couch for Prometheus.  Such a missed opportunity.

All I have to say about working in/ moving to L.A., is have something lined up before you head out there.

I headed out for L.A. with no job, not even a place to stay lined up, no resume, no demo reel, just me, whatever would fit in my car, and about $1000.  I was able to find a place to stay right off, but in three months I hadn't found any work, I'd long since run out of money and things to sell.  Thanks to Teague and the gang at the Labs I was able to stick around for a few more months, but even that hit its limit.

I still hold out hope that I can get back out there, but now I know what I need to do before I get there.

Edit: I seem to be the only one who caught Teague's Bill Hicks bit, and Trey's Eddie Izzard bit.  I bring this up because I am a big fan of everyone involved.

Crap. Good point.  Dammit Moffat, what are you playing at?

Oh yeah, a couple nitpicks: don't like Rory's or The Doctor's new haircuts, or the unnecessary changes to the title sequence.

Holy crap, I heard about that years ago, but I hadn't heard anything in so long I thought they had given up.

  Show
My first thought regarding Oswin as the episode ended, was "Ok, so The Doctor will meet her later, they'll travel a bit, she'll go her own way, and that's how she'll wind up."  Granted, she didn't recognize The Doctor, but he's wiped memories before.  And as for continuity...timey, wimey, spacey, wacey.  It would be interesting to have a companion who's fate you know from the outset.  We got a glimpse of how that could go in the first half of last season, while Amy was a 'ganger.

In the end, the whole season could just wrap back around on itself, ending where it began.

I remember seeing a shot or two of Volume III while visiting Trey at his "office" one day, and I'm thrilled that he'll have a chance to finish it, and that everyone will be able to see it.

Add my hat to the ring for post work; we've got work to do.

I was lucky enough to see Curiosity on the pad at KSC, and watch it launch from just a few yards away from the iconic countdown clock.  Now it's there, on Mars.  That's pretty damn cool.

Hmm, ok then; the last I had read was that the next episode to air was going to be this year's holiday episode.

Forida...it's near Abama, just a lot sweatier. >_>

The joke does feel like it needs one more layer.  The closest I've come is that next to those guys is a lady in mid to late 18th century dress with a sign "Let them eat cake."  Meh.

Yup, it is.

I got into The Doctor rather late, like after season 6 was over.  At Teague's suggestion, and as I've since suggested to others since, I started with 5 & 6, then went back for 1 - 4.

My Doctor is Matt Smith, and not just because he was my first.  His Doctor feels less like he's carrying the weight of all of time and space on his shoulders, as  Tennant's did.  I grew to like Tennant's Doctor, but he was too quick to turn serious and start shouting.  Smith's Doctor's character, or rather the tone his character sets for seasons 5 & 6, is perfectly summed up in his recurring line of "Geronimo!" -- it says to the audience "Ready or not, here we go, and it's going to be amazing!".  For me, mostly, it is.

Regarding the holiday episodes, I also prefer the Christmas Carol to the Wardrobe.  And honestly, why did it take so long for someone to go "Wait, Dickins, Ghosts of past, present and future...that's time travel!"?

I suspect the Olympics are to blame, but I hate the fact that we have to wait until next year to get new Who (and new Top Gear for that matter).

So where are these Sea World pics Teague?

Here's a protest sign duo I'd like to see: guy with sign "Cake or Death" next to guy with sign "The cake is a lie."

If there's enough interest in the notion we should start a separate thread, but with a year of lead time, why can't we organize the first annual "International SDCC DIF Field Trip"?

I know I want to see SDCC, but I don't do well in big crowds or standing in line for hours, so the idea of showing up, walking the floor for a little while, and then just hanging out with friends for the rest of the time sounds like the perfect way to do that.

I already have a bunch of friends out there that I don't get to see as often as I'd like, and there are even more folks around the forums that I'd like to meet.

I'm going to assume "that cunt" is me.  sad  Sorry bro, I meant that in good fun, although I can see how it might come off as a bit dick-ish.

Please accept my heartiest approval for your latest effort.  May you be one step closer to your plan for world domination.

I'm glad someone pointed out Clarkson's performance.  And yes, I did laugh.  High five  smile .

Regarding the mouth animation, I noticed as I was watching with the commentary, Mater's "lips" need to be animated around his teeth.

Also, Mater's sign says "Tow Mater's Towing and Salvage."  So they're cannibals too, apparently.

Dammit.  Sam beat me to it, but as all my movies are on an external drive at this point, I've been meaning to do an iTunes collage myself.  338 movies and 490 GB as of today.

Also, welcome you to our little corner of the internet sir.

On the "Man on a Ledge" DVD there is no commentary for the film, but Elizabeth Banks does a commentary on the trailer...

Wha...?
