When it's not 11 at night here and is fearful of my neighbours ears - belting out tunes - I'm down to over exert my non-ability to sing good with sum'in.
I was gonna hammer out a 'Blank Walls and Crowded Shelves' but, no, even with a terrible cover, do I want to touch that. it's lovely and I shouldn't mess with it.
Oh man. Digging some of these posts and getting caught up in general. Music is weird. I've been out of the loop but diving back in and having fun with some new(er) artists.
Recently wanted to see what this whole Billie Eilish thing was about - and holy fuck - what a talent at only 17 years old. 17!!! I was so talentless at 17 that this is somewhat mindblowing (to be fair, her slightly older brother helps produce/write the songs, but even he's only 21(!)). Her new album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? is fantastic.
First, the catchy tune:
Then, the slower one I love:
What else? Børns! This guy is awesome. Hipster as fuck but he makes good, fun music. Had his newer album Dopamine on repeat for most of 2018.
Yeah, I've recently watched em - the jump from a The Streets song in season one to a Bille Eilish song, a decade and more later, seemed odd at first. I mean not to date this or anything... cut to 10 years time... Veronica Mars is bopping on a dance floor to some other popular tune.
I haven't listened to new music.. well none thats really resonated in years. 'I do like that there Billie Eilish'. Delicate and dark with a smattering of vulnerability.
It really takes a lot for music these days. I don't know if I'm just old and and outta touch but, I have one finger on the pulse, and this I like.
I'm not in the house or I'd eleaborate on this more eloquently than bold statements.
For the most part. A bit tired and weak and my joints ache. Mostly down to being B12 deficient not taking in enough being that only part of my bowel is connected. A loosey goosey google search later says people who tend to have a B12 deficiency are the elderly and people who have part of their bowel removed. Nailed it. Some of the symptoms also include shit memory and confusion. That explains that then?! The gastro dude said all should be good for a ileostomy reversal. Usually they will do one after six months but he says they might want to wait longer in my case from having open surgery. He also give me the choice to either start steroids now or regular testing for a crhons inflamation. I chose the latter. The steroids have a whole heap of awful side effects. Some of which include a drastically lower immune system and moon face. I don't want to know what moon face is. He also said the earlier in life it affects you - the likeliness it will be worse later in life. I've no doubt I'll be seeing more of that guy. He's quite refreshing actually. I mean his brunt approach to a bedside manner is admirable.
I'll be embarrassed later - I'm super happy to be puting on weight. The gastroentorolgist said all is well.No inflamatiom in the upper par of my bowel. A B12 deficiency is my only thing.
I've reached a top 250 peak - I mean the last ones I have left to watch, seem interminable - depressing. I've tried a couple of times and failed to watch em. I'd kill to watch Little Shop for the first time again.
