childhood memory story flooding back...

In the days when only early adopters had VHS players, my father brought me along on a visit with a Ham Radio buddy of his. They disappeared to talk about frequencies or whatever and left me in front of a TV playing the Reeves Superman. I was young, I'm guessing 3 or 4, and my memory is flakey of it all, but this was one of those transcendant awakening moments for me, alone in a strange living room watching this thing happen that wasn't Mr. Rodgers or a cartoon. I remember being sorely disappointed for a while at the lack of a hero wearing a big red S, until he and it appeared...and then being so ecstatic the adults had to come out and check on me.

My childhood is primed for a thorough drubbing, is what I'm saying.

I apologize for my insensitivity to the scheduling needs of others. I was only trying to offer a positive, actionable suggestion for recording with bullet3 during this weekend. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall he is in Australia, where 3am is not 3am, but in fact early afternoon.

Having a solid 'usually' time is a good start.

Ms. Rachel did a pretty amazing thing in Agora, in case anyone's forgotten. Also, she and I share the same brithday. Which is rarely as strong an icebreaker as you'd like it to be.

We did the fan sneak showing Wednesday night and arrived real early so we could be in front of the line and be sure to get 10 seats together. Totally unnecessary; the theater was never more than half-full. Of course the rumor is that Shatner will be hosting a Wrath of Khan/Into Darkness double feature at the brew-n-view next Friday, so maybe the fans are just waiting for that.
