Besides, if I'm to make it 100% correct, I'd have to matchmove my shots to what's already been shot on set.

I spent a week using a Samsung Gear 2, paired with an S5. It was cool, and I didn't want to part with it, as I only had to look at my wrist every time my pocket vibrated, but I don't miss it. I REALLY wanted Apple to release a watch that made me go "OHMYGOGUYSTHISISTHEBESTTHINGEVER!", but I'm not at all interested in it. Not only does it do nothing new, or in an intuitive and Jobs-y way, it's way, way too expensive.
As for the iPhone 6; I've been craving a bigger display and iOS for awhile now, but I'm not entirely sold on it,. 4,7" isn't the worst, but the plus version is far too big.
But then again, this is Apple, after all. They'll probably prove me wrong the second I test one in real life.
Thanks!
But that also literally didn't answer any of my questions.
Recorded stuff. It's in 4K, it's 5GB. You want me to downsample and send you a ...well, sample?
I'm doing it anyway. I'll update this post once it's on YouTube. Apparently, 4K takes ages to encode.
Here we go. It's rough, it's not perfectly lit, but I did it all alone, and in my bedroom.
Upon watching it myself, I realise I can tweak the angle and the hood a bit more to have a more appealing shot, but the performance is pretty much spot on where I'm at with the character. I've done some basic tweaking to the colour of it to see how far I can take it to reduce the amount of roto necessary, and the 4K material is 100mbps, but if I go down to 1080p, I can get a solid 200mbps stream to work with, that also doesn't have a 2.3x crop factor (it's 2x, so not exactly ultra-wide, but it's something)
Let me know if this is usable as it is, and if so, what takes you want, and I'll render it out with an alpha matte so you can apply whatever hologram effects to it you see fit.
Unless you want me to do the vfx for it myself, in which case that's cool too.
I'll get it done after the Apple Jippo tonight
Australians have many virtues. Patience, however, is not one of them.
If this still isn't happening, I have my new equipment, and am ready and able to do it
hee hee
I don't know much about the industry in the US, but I hear a lot of people are getting gigs from Craigslist. I'd start looking there.
It should also be noted that some of those are people that are quite reluctant to pay you after the fact.
The thing that struck me most about Clara, was
Saw it on Sunday. Loved every second of it.
Reminded me a lot of the Star Wars OT. A huge universe you don't have to know everything about, but here are some characters and something they have to do in it.
Hah, I expected to have the camera a bit longer and record today, but the guy who bought it had no time to waste, so, yeah.
Sorry about that!
Yeah, don't hold your breath.
As it turns out, I've sold said camera, and am now waiting for a Panasonic GH4, an adapter to fit a Nikon lens, and a nikon lens.
Either somebody else do it, or you'll have to wait a good week or so
Terribly sorry, raw video just gave me a massive headache after filming Whoish part 3, and I decided on set that it wasn't worth all the trouble, and thus made the move to Panasonic instead.
Considering it's a fan project, non-profit and all, I'm gonna assume it's fine.
Utter and complete nonsense, but the payoff is funny as hell.
And let's not forget the pretty cool Pixar Theory.
I'll be all facebook and just like your post instead.
That's iMovie, you twat.
This is the exact reason we should just be using FCPX. You can wrap all files into one file, ship the file, and continue from wherever.
...but not on a PC, of course.
Tennessee, eh? Give us some bacon wrapped doughnut hamburgers and a bottle of Jack, and we'll forget all about the candy.
Also, your sister didn't reply. Is she currently off-planet?
I suggest getting either a higher-res terragen render, or using google image searches of earth from space. There's a couple of good ones, and with some slight editing, you'd never know it's Earth.
Also, I hear Teague is excellent at texturing, and with a little research, I could generate something from Maya/Houdini/C4D Lite.

Seconded. This is an amazing group of people.
Also, just throwing this out there-what if Tom did his dialog in Norwegian? Would that seem odd to then add subtitles or would it work?
Sorry, just random thoughts here.
Neither of the lines really work in Norwegian, and also; not happening.
I've got next week to shoot my stuff. I did some internal test shots, and by the looks of it, I won't need a green screen for the shots. The cloak is super simple to roto even with the roto brush(I'll even provide the mattes, if need be), and the lighting just compliments it, and I won't have to try and set up the screen and lighting. It makes it all easier.
Zarbs: Do you want me to try and match the timing in the already cut thing, or just do my own, natural thing?
I left the internet for a few days and this thing is already shot?
I need to film my parts now.
Can you glower? He should glower.
I'll glower the living shit out of that shot.
Separate lighting for green screen and subject: no prob. as for color gels and such, it'll be much more of an issue, but I'm also shooting in raw, so white balance isn't an issue.
I'll need lines, directions and a deadline.
EDIT:
Also, if you pay my flight, I'm game for that movie and pizza thing
I've a cloak-ish robe and a green screen.
