Uhm, I believe I asked you all to help out on those
I'm doing an insanely large project (for me anyway)on youtube. The video explains it all, but feel free to comment here or on youtube.
Luca: we pretty much agree on every aspect with you.

But also, it's kind of obvious that the only reason Hurt's in there as the 9th incarnation, is because Eccleston didn't want to come back. Things were rewritten, and we now have an incarnation that is the Doctor in mind, but not in namesake.
Good man! I knew you had it in you!
And if you release it on iTunes, I'll buy the shit out of that album.
Great to have you back, guys!
Also, it appeared on iTunes on the old stream, so that's good.
YouTube link will be up and running when we get to it. We'll post the link.
We're recording in about 3 hours, discussing Magic Lantern(custom Canon EOS firmware) and we've an open spot if anyone wants to contribute
Yours don't make sense at all, though.
As far as I know, we're picking up where we left off last week, yes.
We're also releasing a bonus episode, discussing the Doctor Who Series 7 finale, which we recorded hours after it aired.
He does, I do, and Owen does.
We usually go on at 9pm UTC. This because there's a lot of European folks, and some of those UTC+1 or even +2. This means that, on my part, I start at around 10pm(sometimes later), and after the obligatory greetings, it's about 10:45pm, my time when we actually get around to recording. Recording takes an hour or two, and then it's past midnight.
Setting it earlier also spawns a few problems. Some of us have children, and this would be directly in conflict with their bedtime.
Now, while we'd love to meet everyone's needs and preference at all times, the planet has a 24h difference. Hawaii, for instance, is 12 hours after Norway. There might not be any Hawaiians on this shindig as of yet, but I suspect you get the idea.
We're also looking into recording at different times, but the problem we've been facing every week, is that 10 people say they can make it, and 2 hours before recording time, 8 of them back out. That leaves two people, which is a fairly weak number. So we scramble and get a few more sitters at the proverbial table, and then once we're about ready to record, more people say they're able to participate after all, leaving us in a pickle. We either make due with 8 people, which is incredibly difficult to pull off the way we're doing things, or we're forced to split the recordings in two sessions, and split people into groups they fit the best in.
But hey, as far as podcasts go, we're young. We've barely made it out of the cradle, and are taking baby steps along the route to make it a versatile and including podcast to fit everyone here, and elsewhere. Bear with us in this startup phase, and I promise we'll get to all of you, and include you in the episodes you want to be in. If you really want in, and can't make it at the scheduled time, we'll do our best to reschedule that episode to a more fitting time.
Sound good?
I enjoyed it through and through. All the small bits with the SPOILERS were great. A great setup to the 50th.
Yeah, that's 4am on my part. 3am on Owen's part.
That was a crazy episode. Seriously.
Emo.
Aye. Volume on your end was a bit on the dodgy side. Next time just turn it up, and if there's an echo, we'll let you know instead. Besides, Hangout tries its best to cancel out echoes and external noise.
That'll sort itself out, Jimmy. As I told you last night, when there's 4-5 people trying to talk, you'll either have dead silence or guys talking in each other's mouths. We don't know each other that well, and especially when we bring new blood around we'll have these issues. But once we're all comfortable around each other, I think they'll just fade away.
Just listen to FiyH's first couple of episodes, and then listen to the latest ones.
Last time we had a confirmed number of 3 people 2 hours before recording, and when we were about to start, we were 7. We split it to two sessions because of this. Not being in the same room means we talk in each others mouths a lot, and if there's more than 5, it gets very difficult to sort this out. I recommend you either split the teams up in several sessions, or make 100% sure you can make it. It is, after all, in 12 hours.
Who the heck is apchrist? And why haven't I been mentioned!?
Seriously, though, great post. It pretty much nails down my feelings for DIF as well. Call it FIYH all you want, guys, try pronouncing it. I'm even a father of two boys, which made me relate even more to you. I'm glad to have you on board, and if you feel you need more friends in your head, this very message board even spawned a spinoff podcast called "Extended Edition". Now that's love right there!
Well, then, I'll have to sit out on all of these, sans the 2009 film. I haven't watched a single one.
Sure is!
Is this set before or after Avengers, though?
Well, he could get better at not telling them where they're going.
It can be anything, really. We're not stuck to discussing movies. Games, TV-shows, gadgets and tech, or even superheroes. Which we kinda already did.
...fair point, why DIDN'T he just pop back in time?
