About to watch, but for funsies: Sunset Gower Studios is literally opposite the "old CBS Hollywood building" I keep referencing in everything because I worked there, and if I'm not mistaken, SGS is the current home of a Technicolor office as well as Eden FX.

Okay, shutting up now.

EDIT: Just got to the "Act II" title card. More specifically, I PAUSED it when I said "jeeeeesus CHRIST, Max," and it turns out that by the time my finger moved, we had hit the Act II break.

...

Anyway, Jesus Christ, Max.

EDIT: Done. Why hasn't Max been on the show? This guy is our people. He's even witty. I blame Mike, he's the only one of us who knows him.

Super fucking cool. Loved his story, loved his delivery.

Not to be a complete pig over here, but I'm kind of into your friend Brooke.

I'd like to be all Mr. Admin over here and say "hey, that's not in the spirit of this board!"

...but, I think that could be this decade's Galaxy Quest, because that's really funny. So I challenge the following comments to plot out acts one through three, and fill it with awesome Die Hard jokes. Let's do this.

Ah. Probably not for me, then, I don't sound particularly old.

You probably want Zarban for that.

I know I'm in, and have nice mics. If any LA people want in, there's your two right thurr.  yikes

Wait.

What would it be beyond an iTunes thing? Gimme ideas.

sad

Ha, funny you should mention, just an hour ago Paulou (who's the handsome devil in the first shot of the first episode) texted me saying "we need to get a post-op interview with you when you get home."

So, yeah. At least the interview, and if I get drunk enough to feel confident in a listener party, that too.

And

When I first saw The Formula, it made me wanna go out there and make a movie. When I saw this, it made me wanna make an album. Well the fuck done.

might be the nicest thing anybody has ever said to me, and you bet your ass I'm telling Hanel you said that right now.

!!!!!!!!

That just made my day. This little livestream-documentary endeavour was always going to be iffy, and as it stands, these five videos (totaling almost feature-length, my god) are a bit indulgent and excessively long overall - I'm planning on remaking it with different footage as a one-off doc, regardless, keeping an eye on pacing - but my one thing was, I wanted people to get invested in the "characters." Me, of course, but also Andy and Alex... and as soon as I met Blain, also Blain, because Blain is hilarious. That you're having an "aw! my buddies!" reaction means the world to me.

Anyway, here's all five as a playlist.

One hour, thirteen minutes.

When future humans critique this as an editing project, remember that episode one was released four days before I knew what was going to happen, and episode two was released the night after it happened, and so on.  big_smile

Last one!

I'm impressed at how they managed to make a movie out of this.

I liked it. *shrug* That's about it. However, even throughout the first two acts, there's an odd sense of shoddyness that permeates most of the flick, which I think can be chalked up to band-aids and quick fixes done in editorial to smoothen things out a bit.

/worked on the restoration of Manos

/I ain't skurred, you don't know me, what

Worst movie I've ever seen? Going with the generally accepted "okay, well it's hard to just give one answer" disclaimer one also adopts for "favorite," I vote Apollo 18.

I can vouch for this girl.

If by "vouch" you mean "defame and hide from."

Andy and I were joking that the second album should be called "The Sequel."

In the meantime, this album is called:
