Re: Doctor Who is awesome, yeah?
Oh, how I wished Morrisey was a potential incarnation. I absolutely loved him.

He was in a rather good six part series from about ten years ago called 'State of Play' which got remade as a bobbins hollywood film but the BBC series is worth a watch.
Robert Carlyle as the Doctor... Wow, that could (to quote one of his former roles) stir things up
Carey Mulligan (Sally Sparrow from "Blink") is extremely cute, I hoped she'd be the companion for the Steven Moffat era (although I'm not complaining about Amy Pond).
Here it is, folks, the prequel to the Christmas special that aired tonight on BBC One's Children in Need telefon. I mean the prequel aired tonight, obviously, not the special. That would be mental-
and the full trailer for the special (it contains spoilers for the first episode of series 7 at the start, just in case you haven't seen that episode) -

I like the new girl so far.
She's not quite as distinctly adorable as Karen Gillan (who I'll miss dearly), but I like her and the chemistry she has with Matt in those intro clips.
I got no strong opinions on the prequel/minisode and trailer though, except how is it that Doctor Who has waited this long to do Killer Snowmen? Assuming they haven't done that before and I somehow missed it, that is. That seems like such an obvious thing for this show.
I was thinking that too, they had killer Santas before and a killer Christmas tree but unless they did so in older Who, I don't think they've done snowmen yet.
Dr. Who is the one with a magic school, right?
It's the one where Jesus is a talking lion.
Doctor Who has done abominable snowmen, two Yeti stories from the 2nd Doctor era.
Pfffft, Yeti's don't count, these are actual snowmen, made completely of the cold white stuff
Bumpety bump!
The Snowmen was actually a good Christmas special!
For those who haven't seen it already, there's lots to discover, amongst a new TARDIS interior, a new intro(which I liked a lot!), and... Clara. I'm not sure I like where they took it, but I'm intrigued enough to keep watching to find out where they're taking it from here.
..So long as Tennant and Eccleston do a cool 50-year anniversary episode alongside Smith next year.
Sooo can someone explain to me why 1 season had to be spread out over 2 years (and 2 Christmas specials)?
(Haven't seen the Christmas special yet, don't get BBC here)
Because Steven Moffat decided to split seasons so you could get something each semester, instead of waiting almost a year for new stuff. I didn't mind how it used to be.
Ugh, I preferred getting them all at once and waiting. It's pointless getting like 4 episodes then waiting 6 months.
I laughed out loud at
Liked the new design of the TARDIS. Had no problem with the previous two but I like that they apparently gotten away of having "random stuff" being the things to operate it
The Clara plot does make me curious on how it'll be played out. Kind of hoping that the remainer of Series 7 will just be The Doctor & her. No need to have River Song involved. Honestly, while I enjoyed her, I feel that her character has run its course.
I fuckin' hate River Song.
Albeit, not so much the character, as Alex Kingston's interpretation of it. I really don't like her.
The park where Clara found the ladder was just round the back of my local pub

I really liked River in her first (two part) appearance, but became more and more disenchanted with her as she was portrayed as a self-satisfied twat. But by the end, she had won me back over. I really think it was Moffat and not Kingston that was the problem.
Karen Gillan was cutesy and always seemed a bit selfish, altho she is still probably my second favorite companion.
I'm fully prepared to adore Jenna Louise-Coleman.

O REALLY? Then you won't mind going around the back, climbing up that ladder, and taking a picture of the Tardis, will you? We'll wait.

So uh...my sister got me a Tardis mug for Christmas. Yeah, that's right bitches. Be jealous.
My girlfriend got me a Tardis mini-fridge.
You were saying?
Was anyone else disappointed in all the Sherlock Holmes references in the Christmas special? Not only was it pointlessly silly, it suggests we'll never get a spin-off featuring Madame Vastra and Jenny.
Of course, I suppose that also saves us from endless we-are-great-big-lesbians-what-do-you-think-of-that scenes.
