Eta two hours.
(So, you know, probably see you in three weeks.)
...Now?
Your estimated
My friends are going to hate me for how much I share this. Well done, Teague. It's great.
That's even better than I remember Teague, and it looks wonderful. Well done sunshine
Epic.
And now beginning the pimping process to everyone I know.
That was really enjoyable. I 1080'd it up and watched it on my HDTV, it was great. I have a pretty strict, "Shut it off if it's even the faintest bit shitty," policy for lengthy Youtube videos, so the fact that I sat through and enjoyed the whole thing says more about it than I'd be able to.
I would like to compliment the lighting, though. It seems simple, but at the same time it wouldn't be hard to believe that it was something you agonized over getting just right.
Thanks man.
The lighting and the color correction was a more delicate process (processes?) than I'd imagined when writing, yeah. But a lot of the credit goes to 7Ds being amazing, and thusly to Brian for lending me his.
I like how the darkness seems to be constantly eating off your face. I quickly figured I'd enjoy it more with all lights off, and I did.
You're a great actor. I'll watch it again soon to make sure I haven't missed anything (I did find it hard sometimes to understand what you said, especially while playing the piano), but the story is touching, and the way you filmed it made it all about how you'd act and show us your character. You nailed it, quite frankly.
but, in a happy way
I LOVE the Firefly verse in The Internet Song on the soundtrack.
(for the whole project)

Frickin' awesome my friend. Frickin' awesome. Take your bows.
Bravo!
Bravo!
Bravo!
Wait, there's a Firefly reference in one of the songs? Where?
it's on the soundtrack MP3s.... in the Internet Song.
Terrific. Often laugh-out-loud funny, at least in the early parts, where it's supposed to be. I hear a bit of Tom Lehrer and a lot of Joss Whedon in the music, and it's damn impressive.
...wait a minute. Have I just been the subject of viral marketing for Doritos?
Sad Max is now linked to on Whedonesque. Not sure if it will stay there. I've had issues with some of the Moderators in the past (as well as lately) regarding the "inconsistent" measurements on what passes for "Front page worthy", among other disagreements. Point is, if it's taken down, at least I tried.
I still say Gary is the hero of the whole thing. Like Short Round in Temple Of Doom
07:34 in and I'm like, "Oh God, no! Please don't eat Gary!"
I thought the same thing. I kept expecting the next song to be an "I ate gary" song.
Fucking nice, Teague. I'm pimping it to friends as well, but I don't know many people. I like that it's about musicals as much as it is about Max, Gary and the apocalypse.
1. Teague looks odd with normal people hair.
2. Teague is a far better actor and singer then he gives himself credit for.
3. I enjoyed this shit out of this. You really nailed it.
Agree, Duelist. Teague really is a good actor. When we sets his sights on a beat he hits it and hits it consistently. It wasn't a series of lucky takes.
