Re: The New Introduction Thread
Nice to hear that people actually see that LCC stuff.
Yeah, it really saddens me how no one watches the entries anymore. I guess the lightsaber fanfilm is a dying breed.

I generally like your taste.
Careful. The last person Teague said that to, he ate.

I'll watch my back. Though I have to say, I'm much more scared of Trey and Dorkman than Teague. Oh, and Brian, if he ever finds out I hate TNG with a passion.

You deserve to be eaten.

Sorry. I just can't stand the "This show is important and relevant and talking about BIG IDEAS, and you WILL listen to our philosophical discussions" vibe I get from it. *shrugs* To each his own. I guess Teague has work to do.
Actually some of the heavy-handed messages annoy me as well. But the best ST-TNG episodes don't have them - they're just pure and awesome fun.

Hi all.
I work in a window factory, love metal and a massive Iron Maiden fan. I love all types of films from Harry Potter to Star Wars and a lot in between. Also a big James Herbert and Robert Harris fan.
Only just began to start listening to DIF comms. C-ya.
Well, welcome to the forums, hope you like it here
Hi everyone! My name is Katie. As you can probably tell from my username, I am a pretty avid reader, mostly of sci-fi, romance, fantasy, and the classics. I have to say Jane Eyre is probably my favorite book, hands down. I am currently a graduate student in anthropology, specifically historical archaeology, and I work in the archaeology lab at the university I attend. I grew up in Texas but have since lived in Oregon and Florida. A friend actually told me about DIF almost a year ago, and I have been listening ever since. I enjoy listening to y'all very much, and y'all tend to make me laugh out loud in the middle of the lab (for which I get strange looks, but I don't care ).
I have laughed on public transport to DiF, Katie, so you are in good company.
Welcome to the forums
Welcome, Katie - and wow, you're pretty much the exact demographic for a video I made called Fish Guys.
There's almost no other demographic for that video, but archaeologists seem to enjoy it...
Jimmy B-Thanks for the welcome!
Trey- Thanks for the welcome as well! I loved Fish Guys, and I can see why it would only appeal to archaeologists. I bet it would be a big hit with the grad student crowd looking to see some humor in the whole thesis-writing process. I will definitely have to share! It pretty much nails both the mundane aspects of lab work like counting fish bones and the exciting aspect of figuring out what it all really means. By the way, we really DO stick the artifacts to our tongue to see if they are bone (I have done so many times!) or not because bone sticks to the tongue. It doesn't always taste so good though.

I really expected her to pull a sabre...
Coincidentally, I have a friend from Texas that studied Archaeology and then moved to the north-west, but I'm pretty sure you're not her. Hello anyways!
And Trey, I just posted Fish Guys to my freind's FB.
Hi. I'm Kevin. I found my way here from the DiF Avengers commentary back in November 2012 via Whedonesque. (I'm a Firefly fan especially, so I love all the references to it in unrelated commentaries.)
I'm not involved with the movie business, but I did take a Lit & Film class long ago in high school so the earlier clausal comma in this sentence was actually one of them... circular... eye thing... wipers.
That's all my brain can do for tonight (though I suppose that would mean my heart would stop beating and--
Fun Fact: Hearts are semi-autonomous, and don't actually need to receive any signal from the brain to beat. That's why heart transplants are possible, and why people can be brain-dead. LEARNING!

This is a weird forum.
Welcome Kevin!
Kevin, welcome to the forums and I like your username
And has anyone checked that Henry has taken his medicine today?

It should be. I mean, look at all we learn on the DiF forums
Also, welcome, Kevin.
