Happy Thanksgiving to all my American DiF friends. I too am thankful for the people on these here forums. You guys are awesome and I know that when I come here I can get good solid thought out debates and gentle fun-poking rather than insults. Another forum I frequent usually dissolves into trolling and name-calling and while I do disagree with some opinions here, I also respect the person for having those opinions because I know they'd respect me for mine.

But then, I am listening to Christmas songs as I type this, so what does the Scottish guy know?

I've said it many times, but this community really is special, and I'm thankful for everyone in it.

Except for Chang. Fuck that guy. He's a psycho.

I love this place. I wish it were a cafe we'd all hang out at.

I didn't take a new photo yesterday, but my house looked a lot like this again...

The table is an Amish farmhouse table that stretches out to accommodate 11 leaves, making it 18 feet long. We move the furniture to allow it to stretch into the living room.

Since we're a large extended family, we draw names and then give our Christmas list to whichever person drew our name. I thought this forum would appreciate my 14-year-old niece's, hand-written, apparently from memory....

None of you have heard of Bleach? It's apparently pretty huge. Even has some decent fighting games on consoles, too.

I'll be celebrating my first whole year as a DiF member in a few weeks, so I'm kind of a padawan here.
But this community has already brought me so much, and it just won't slow down. The reasons why have already all been brought up in this thread, but as a young french guy, it also brings me an amazing way to be better at speaking english - with actual english speaking people - and live with it. Not that I'd deny where I'm from - let me have my foie gras in peace, et vive la France ! - but I've always been drawn to this whole other world and culture.

Thanks for being here, and a very special thank you to the Guys for making the podcasts and basically justify in themselves why I love this movie world and study for it. I realize it began with RvD and me jerking around in After Effects as a teenager, and this place here is just the natural continuity of it. It's actually because of some of you guys that I am where I am now.

Also, I second the Down in Front Cafe. If you ever make one in LA, I move there immediately. I promise I won't be creepy about My Little Pony. Well, not that much anyway.
