So thats what Ghostlight was about!
Please can you do a Down in Front of Planet of the Apes.
The real one.
Thank You
really suprised by this, I haven't watched it since it was in cinemas but I really wasn't impressed. I didn't believe Tom Cruise as a low paid dock worker, the kid spent the whole movie screaming "Daddy Daddy Daddy" and the other kid was unlikeable for reasons stated.
I really didn't like the scene in the basement with the tentacle and then an identical scene with aliens.
Just watched 'Never Say Never Again' not actually as bad as I remembered.
add me to the list of people completely blown away by how good this was !
This sounds great, can I subscribe somewhere yet?
Teague, I know you love slagging off British cooking, so sorry to break this to you, I've no idea what "Eggy in a Basket" is but it's not British
Now I'm off to make Toad in the Hole
Matt, Thanks for reference thats a great help!
The 'prop' is more 'childs toy that cost a couple of coins from a fancy dress shop' Not sure if we'll paint some up to use for the actual shoot or not which will probably determine the double action factor.
But i'll definately time it up better with the hammer next time.
and Zarban, I'll make sure the actors blink!
On V, I must ask my British friends about all that...
And I mean my RL Brit friends...
Whats wrong with us?! Screw you Switch =P
V became a distasteful relic.
Do consider when the original was being written the UK had a fair few terrorist bombings...
Can I get some advice from the VFX types on here? I'm in prep for a short set in the 18th Century about a Highway Woman.
So I've done this test to try and add the effects in post, since I don't have any such real pistols and the fact that on low budgets actors and explosivies are not always the best combination.
I used a couple of clips from Pirates of the Carribean and a film called 'The Abduction Club' as reference
I think I've got it pretty close but if you can think of a way to improve it that would be great.
Not really bad editing but as a kid I was always bothered in Star Wars in the cantina when Han points out the stormtroopers and suggest Obi-Wan and Luke leave.
It cuts to Han saying "Wow these guys must really be desperate" because you don't seem them leave the bar I thought that was a really rude thing to say whilst they hid under the table!
I just ordered The Rock, so yes. commentate it !
Thats looking nice. The light all seems to be doing the right thing which is the real trick.
She also does costumes. I really do
We had 7 clowns and a copy of After Effects. My girlfriend helped with the rotoscoping.
Thanks man, Yeah it's kinda a spoiler but how else do we make it not seem like a generic internet zombie film.
and yeah, we'll definately be working with Robyn again she was a real find.
This is a 2min short I made for a competition about two lovers trying to survive a very different type of apocalypse.
He was also in the Daniel Craig / Matthew Vaughn film Layer Cake which I recomend you all give a watch / do an episode of a podcast about.
That dude later ends up as a wizard in Harry Potter 5. Fact.
NO I want the podcast to END!
No wait, that was sarcasm =P
Not a bad idea
I'd rather hear "this episode is brought to you by shifty bench's pocket money" then what some podcasts do which is have the host read an advert for anything upto 5 minutes.
Hows the demo reel looking?
This is one of those films I've been hearing a bit about for a year or so now. It'll probably be covering the same old stuff but hopefully they'll make it entertaining.
